Using Groups

Not all statements are prepared at the same time. A firm might want to send statements for a particular group of clients, or all accounts associated with an advisor, or some other ad-hoc criteria. BARS enables you to create any type of group/list of accounts and/or households. You can then run statements based on these groups, or run other management reports by group.

Creating the groups is easy – simply drag & drop the accounts and households you would like into the group. Then give it a description and name. BARS also provides a location for “notes” related to the group, so you can enter a detailed description of the purpose of the group. BARS also stores who created the group – all of this information ensures that you won’t have “group creep” where you have almost as many groups as you do accounts. It’s just as easy to rename groups, or delete groups that you no longer need.
